Rapidlogger Weight Calibrator - Load Cell Checker
The Rapidlogger Weight Calibrator is a portable reference weight system for coiled tubing units. It hangs in line between the injector head and the tubing connector and gives an independent, calibrated reading of the tubing weight. Comparing this reading with the weight indicator on the unit verifies the calibration of the injector head load cell, hydraulic or electronic.
The system consists of a Rapidlogger SE display unit, a calibrated stainless steel load cell with a NIST traceable certificate, a load plate and a coiled tubing connector adapter, in a foam lined carrying case. The operator reads the weight directly on the display. No PC or training is needed.
The load plate and connector adapter are machined to suit the customer's tubing size and connector so the calibrator hangs square under the injector head. The load cell is rated for tension and compression, so snubbing loads can be verified as well.
The calibrator complements the Rapidlogger coiled tubing job monitoring system, which records the weight channel during the job.
